Polestar 2 review (2023)

Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

I love this car, please don’t get me wrong. It the tech really lets the car down big time. Many Apps just don’t work for me such as Audible and Amazon Music (can’t sync my libraries). The safety features are often exactly the opposite and I have to intervene to prevent them from causing me to crash. The connected car it is not in my case. 80%of the time I have zero signal and this is driving around the M25 where my mobile has 5g. And no this car is at best 4g and not capable of 5g.

Issues charging and this car really does not like She’ll chargers at all. It a shame as this is the best car I have ever driven and at the same time the most frustrating. I love my Polestar, I really do, but can you live with its flaws.

Polestar customer suppprt laugh when you mention the App. It will allow you to remote
Y turn on the heater/AC but only to a Polestar preset 22c. You are not worthy of choosing your own temp. The door unlock, it’s quicker to walk to the car and lock manually tbh. And that’s about it… no other features… oh, sorry when the car rarely does connect you can check your charge and cars location… but I guess you already knew where you left it!

How reliable do you find the car?

Having to take the car back next week, only 10 weeks old. Number of issues… loses connectivity most of the time so no online features such as Google Maps, the App doesn’t work etc. therefore can’t use pre heat/cool, remote door locking etc…

Does the car do everything you expected it to do?

So I have a number of features such as Lane assist, adaptive cruise, anti collision protection. Lane assist is well to be frank hit and miss, sometimes dangerously, darts off to the side and if not corrected would take me off road. Anti collision often picks up cars in a lay-by momentarily emergency brak8ng and the adaptive cruise… great if the traffic in front is moving and slowing. But if the vehicle in front changes lanes and there is a stationary car in front in your lane the car accelerates dangerously at the stationary car.
